If you are in town and looking to have a drink or meet up with fellow convention delegates, you’re welcome to meet at Quinn’s Shorehouse in the lobby of the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina for a casual evening. Drinks will not be hosted by IAPD.
Join the Environmental and Women in Plastics Committees in partnership with San Diego Coastkeeper for a beach cleanup in the San Diego Marina. Participating in a beach cleanup is a great way to have an immediate positive impact on the environment. By removing trash before it infiltrates the inland and coastal waters, we are helping protect the ocean and marine life from harmful marine debris. Cleanup volunteers collect, identify and quantify trash to help understand its origins and composition. This data informs the science, education and advocacy work of San Diego Coastkeeper to support healthier communities and a cleaner environment.
- A T-shirt, trash bags, gloves and pickers will be provided for volunteers.
- All volunteers must wear closed toe shoes.
- Sunglasses, hats and sunscreen are recommended.
San Diego Coastkeeper requires a liability waiver that will be provided to you upon arrival. Volunteers will meet in the lobby of Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina at 8:30 a.m. and walk over to the cleanup location as a group. The cleanup will end at 10:00 a.m.
