Dear Readers,
Each year, the IAPD Charitable Foundation has the distinct privilege of awarding scholarships to a group of outstanding students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership and community engagement. This year, we are proud to recognize 14 remarkable students whose achievements and aspirations reflect the values of our association and the potential of the next generation.
Many of these students are connected to our member companies through their parents or guardians, while the others are pursuing higher education in sales. This year’s scholarship recipients and applicants represent some of the finest students, making the selection process challenging to narrow the scholarships down to such a short list. These young scholars, athletes, community volunteers, artists, leaders and global citizens are committed to making their mark on the world. Our industry should be proud to support the investments into their futures. Kudos to you.
The IAPD Scholarship Program is made possible through the generous support of our member companies and individual donors. Their continued investment in the next generation of talent strengthens not only our industry’s workforce but our broader community as well. These scholarships provide meaningful financial support for students, foster awareness of career opportunities in performance plastics and help position IAPD as a bridge between education and industry.
In this digital special section of Performance Plastics magazine, we are highlighting some of the outstanding essays submitted by the 2025 IAPD Scholarship applicants. This year’s essay topic asked applicants to describe one performance plastics item that enriches or impacts the lives of each student. I hope you enjoy reading this collection of short essays as much as the Scholarship Committee did.
Please join me in celebrating the achievements of these exceptional students. Their dedication and drive are a source of pride for the IAPD community, and we look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the years to come.
Sincerely,
Regional Director, Curbell Plastics, Inc.
