Peter DelGado, formerly senior director of sales & customer service, has been promoted to vice president – training & customer experience. Over his 38-year career with Curbell Plastics, DelGado has played a crucial role in shaping the company’s business practices, training programs and customer experience strategy. His leadership has driven the success of various initiatives, including establishing best business practices and Curbell’s award-winning training programs. An influential voice in the plastics industry, he has been actively involved with IAPD – The Performance Plastics Association for the past 25 years. Currently serving his second term as IAPD President, DelGado continues to champion strategic priorities for the performance plastics industry, focusing on workforce development, sustainability and legislative advocacy.

Dr. Keith Hechtel, formerly senior director of business development, has been promoted to vice president – business development & marketing. Bringing nearly four decades of industry expertise, Hechtel is known for his ability to simplify complex technical challenges, working closely with sales and customers to provide tailored material solutions for high-performance applications. With 19 years at Curbell, Hechtel has been instrumental in developing and delivering the company’s flagship 3P’s materials training program, helping to equip the sales team with essential knowledge. In his new role, he will continue to drive the company’s market focus and strategy.

Plastic Solutions Inc. (PSI) announces Joe Denlinger has joined the company as a manufacturer’s representative. Denlinger comes to PSI with over 31 years of plastics industry experience, having worked for both manufacturers and distributors. He has extensive working knowledge of thermoplastic materials, applications and end users.

In his new role, Denlinger will be joining Russ Consentino in the Mid-Atlantic portion of PSI’s territorial responsibility, including Pennsylvania, the New York City metro/Long Island, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia.

PLASKOLITE announces that Marco Fiorucci has been named managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). With over 30 years of experience in thermoplastics, chemicals and compounding, Fiorucci brings a strong background in sales and operations leadership in the region.

“Marco has a wealth of experience and a proven track record in strategic growth and market expansion,” said PLASKOLITE President & CEO Michael Gilbert. “He has consistently delivered outstanding results and has a deep understanding of the diverse markets in the EMEA region.” 

Fiorucci succeeds Amir Abramovich, managing director of EMEA and South America, who is retiring after 39 years in the thermoplastics industry.

Previously, Fiorucci served as director of consumer and industrial markets at Ascend Performance Materials and prior to that, as sales director for Arkema Specialty Surfactants. He has also held various leadership positions at Ashland Chemical, Nexeo Solutions and Interpolimeri Group.

“Plaskolite would like to congratulate Amir on his retirement and thank him for his leadership and dedication to the business,” said Gilbert. “We are excited to welcome Marco to the team and are confident that his leadership will help us achieve our company’s strategic objectives and further our mission while serving customers in the EMEA region.”

Redwood Plastics and Rubber appoints Jesús Zamora as president.

Zamora will be succeeding COO Kris Fraser, who is transitioning his focus to Redwood’s parent company The Redco Group. Zamora, formerly director of operations and vice president of operations, has been a key leader whose operational expertise and innovation has strengthened the way Redwood Plastics and Rubber does business.

“I’m honored and excited for this new opportunity. I’d like to thank Kris Fraser and the Fraser family for putting their trust in me to lead the next chapter of Redwood Plastics and Rubber,” said Zamora. “I look forward to continuing working alongside our amazing and talented people to build on the company’s legacy of innovation and excellent customer service!”

With a professional background in Electronics Engineering, Zamora has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chains, warehousing and new product introductions. Prior to joining Redwood Plastics & Rubber in 2022, Zamora held senior leadership positions at Motorola, Continental Automotive, Becton Dickinson Medical, Convertus Group and Amazon Canada. He has shown tremendous value in each position, frequently overseeing safe, financially controlled operations that deliver exceptional quality and productivity.

Emily Miller joined the company as their new communications specialist. She will focus on internal and external communication strategies, strengthen brand awareness and manage the company’s social media channels. She is new to the plastics industry and comes from a background of journalism and digital marketing. Miller is eager to apply her experience to the role while expanding her skillset and industry knowledge to make an impact on the company’s overall communications and branding efforts.

Joseph Harson was hired as an inside sales representative covering territories in Rockford, IL and Denver, CO, USA. He will work with current customers and new prospects to grow the business and ensure the best possible customer experience. Harson brings five years of sales experience to his new role and is ready for the challenge of a new industry. His goal is to build strong relationships with customers, vendors and the Professional Plastics team to support the continued success of the company.

She will oversee the payroll process and work with the HR, Finance and IT teams to optimize payroll operations, maintain compliance with labor laws and implement systems that enhance efficiencies and employee satisfaction. She has over 10 years of experience and is excited to focus exclusively on payroll in her new role, with an emphasis on improving accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency.

His goal is to establish long lasting business relationships to help customers succeed in their markets.

Dan Mandell joined the company as a territory manager based in Fullerton, CA, USA. He will cover the Orange County area where he will work to grow existing accounts, earn new business and develop strong customer relationships. He has years of versatile experience in manufacturing sales he will use in his new role. His goal is to work hard, provide great customer service and be a problem solver and an advocate for his customers. “Hard work pays off. Seeds don’t sprout into forests overnight,” said Mandell.

New Territory Manager, Alex Lattimer, will serve as the primary point of contact for customers within Wisconsin and the Greater Rockford, IL areas. He will identify, nurture and ultimately close new opportunities with both new and existing clients. After a 20-year long career in the print industry, he is excited to step into the role due to his passion for problem solving and manufacturing. He aims to deliver clear, honest communication ensuring that all parties feel satisfied with the outcome.

Wegener Welding, LLC is proud to accept the 2024 Premium Partner Award from SKZ. Rarely is a company outside of Europe nominated and awarded this prestigious title by SKZ.

The Wegener Welding team continues to host DVS Welder Certification courses in partnership with SKZ and has been doing so for more than 20 years. Twice annually, a DVS Certified Instructor comes to their facility to train participants from all over the world in plastic welding techniques including hot gas hand welding, extrusion welding, pipe butt welding, socket fusion and electrofusion. Participants from a wide range of backgrounds get both theoretical and practical training that promotes high quality in their fabricated products and can opt to take the certification tests to become an internationally recognized DVS Certified Welder.
