Griffin Alterio, son of David Alterio of Alro Plastics, is a recipient of a 2026 IAPD Charitable Foundation Scholarship. Alterio will be a junior at the University at Albany (New York), where he is preparing for a career in finance.

At UAlbany, Alterio is a member of the School of Business Investment Group. He was among the first sophomores selected to serve as a junior-level analyst and has since been selected for the group’s executive board as meeting chair and appointed consumer sector head. His goal is to continue developing the analytical, research and communication skills needed for a successful career in finance.

Alterio’s interests extend well beyond finance. In high school, he was a three-year captain of the varsity football team and participated in track and field, wrestling, student government and DECA. An accomplished musician, he played in jazz and marching bands, earned a place in the Area All-State Jazz Band and was first-chair saxophone in his school band.

At UAlbany, he also participates in intramural basketball and Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity.

Lahari Beeram is a recipient of a 2026 IAPD Charitable Foundation Scholarship through her participation in a professional sales program. A graduate of Barrington High School in Barrington, Illinois, Beeram will attend Northwestern University, where she plans to prepare for a career in enterprise software sales.

Beeram graduated in the top 5% of her class and earned a perfect 36 on the ACT. Her honors include being named a National Merit Finalist, winning the Illinois state Lincoln-Douglas debate competition and earning state recognition in HOSA and Science Olympiad. She also earned AP Scholar with Distinction honors and placed first overall in marketing at the DECA regional competition.

Service and leadership have been central to Beeram’s high school experience. She founded Empowerment Through Education, an international student-led initiative supporting rural schools in India. The organization has helped sponsor 23 classrooms, seven science labs and a devotional arts program, in addition to supporting teacher salaries.

Beeram also serves as a board member and student lead for UPchieve and has conducted engineering research through Northwestern University’s CISTAR Young Scholar Internship.

Gavin Davis, child of Shannon Wollyung of Primex Corporation, is a recipient of a 2026 IAPD Charitable Foundation Scholarship. Davis will be a junior at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in finance. His career goal is to become a financial adviser.

Davis has maintained a 4.0 GPA at Miami University and has been named to the President’s List each semester he has attended. His academic success follows an accomplished high school career in which he graduated sixth in a class of 109 and earned Indiana Academic All-State recognition in baseball.

At Miami, Davis participates in the Asset Management Club, Finance Association and Personal Finance Club, providing opportunities to expand his knowledge of finance beyond the classroom. He also has gained professional experience as a finance intern with The Bath State Bank.

Athletics have been another important part of Davis’ life. He played basketball and baseball for four years in high school and has volunteered with youth basketball and the Dirt Road Youth League.

Annabelle Ellenbogen is a recipient of a 2026 IAPD Charitable Foundation Scholarship through her participation in a professional sales program. She will be a freshman at Pepperdine University, where she plans to double major in psychology and business administration with a concentration in marketing and sales. Her career goal is medical device sales.

Ellenbogen’s high school experience was marked by both achievement and adaptability. After attending three high schools in two states, she continued to excel academically, athletically and as a student leader.

A standout track athlete, Ellenbogen was a three-time varsity MVP and three-time All-American in the 4×800-meter relay. She also was a USATF national top-four finalist in the 800 meters and served as a varsity team captain.

Her leadership extends into community service. Ellenbogen founded Jewish Teen Connection, an organization that develops community service projects and social events for teenagers in the Detroit area. She also founded and served as president of her high school’s Jewish Student Association and has held leadership roles with NCSY. In addition, she mentors younger athletes competing at the national level.

Gabrielle Gaymon, daughter of Leander Gaymon of Piedmont Plastics, is the recipient of the 2026 Greg Berry Memorial Scholarship. Gaymon will be a sophomore at North Carolina Central University, where she is studying accounting.

Her interest in accounting developed in part from seeing firsthand the importance of budgeting, taxes and financial planning. She was also influenced by watching her grandfather manage finances for his family and a church of more than 800 members. Those experiences helped Gaymon recognize the impact that strong financial knowledge can have on individuals, families and organizations.

Gaymon was one of 60 incoming freshmen selected for NCCU’s Aspiring Eagle Academy. In high school, she participated in student government for three years, earned a letter in track for four years and served on the homecoming court.

Community service also has been an important part of Gaymon’s activities. She has participated in annual food drives with MacMade and has supported teen seminars and voter registration drives through The Harris House.

Ayden Ley, son of Brandon Ley of Meyer Plastics, Inc., is a recipient of a 2026 IAPD Charitable Foundation Scholarship. Ley plans to attend Purdue University, where he will pursue a degree in Integrated Business Engineering.

Ley has demonstrated academic excellence throughout high school, earning a 3.99 GPA while balancing athletics, leadership activities and
employment. His involvement has included serving as a football captain, participating in student council and earning membership in the National Honor Society.

His work experience has given him opportunities to develop practical skills outside the classroom. Ley has worked in construction, helped manage a lake property business and gained hands-on engineering and maintenance experience at Terra Supreme Battery. In that position, he has been exposed to wastewater operations, troubleshooting and other aspects of an industrial environment.

Ley’s combination of academic achievement, leadership and real-world experience has helped shape his interest in a field that brings business and engineering together. He looks forward to continuing to develop those skills at Purdue and preparing for a career that draws on both disciplines.

Arthana Sri is the recipient of the 2026 Howard J. Natal Scholarship. Sri, is the daughter of Vanaja Sri Renganathan, of Fabco Plastics Wholesale (Ontario) Limited. A senior at York University, Sri has focused her studies on astronomy and has developed an impressive record of academic achievement, research and leadership.

Her passion for astronomy extends well beyond the classroom. Sri has participated in multiple research experiences, including work involving quasars and interior dynamics of the moon, giving her opportunities to explore complex questions about the universe through scientific research. She also pursues astronomy independently, using her own telescopes to observe the moon, planets and other celestial objects.

Sri has complemented her academic work with leadership in astronomy organizations and experience tutoring chemistry. Her activities reflect both her enthusiasm for science and her commitment to helping others develop their own understanding of challenging subjects.

Through her studies, research and extracurricular involvement, Sri has continued to build the skills and experience needed to pursue her interests in astronomy and scientific discovery.

Stella Veazey, daughter of Blake Veazey of Lustercraft Plastics, is a recipient of a 2026 IAPD Charitable Foundation Scholarship. Veazey will be a sophomore at DePaul University in Chicago, where she is an Honors Program student pursuing a degree in political science.

Veazey plans to pursue a career as a policy writer, with an interest in developing long-term policies that support sustainable manufacturing and business practices, increase employment and access to education and promote equity.

Writing, public policy and community involvement have been recurring themes in Veazey’s activities. In high school, she founded a creative fiction writing club and served as president of the Extraordinary Teen Council, an organization focused on reducing youth substance abuse. In that role, she also served as a youth liaison to the Salida City Council.

At DePaul, Veazey is a fiction reader for Crook and Folly Magazine and has volunteered with VIA and worked as a stage manager for Blue Demon Theatre. She also works as a student assistant in DePaul’s Honors Program and has previous experience in sales, social media, business development and retail management.
