he past few years have certainly been disruptive to the industry. IAPD members went from trying to keep up with demand for clear sheet and other materials to prevent the spread of COVID, then there were hurricanes and the deep freeze in the Gulf Coast, driver shortages and the supply chain disruptions we hear about so frequently. Legislatively, the industry is facing anti-plastics sentiments that manifest themselves in draft legislation that crops up daily.

Looking back at 2021
With all these challenges as a backdrop, thanks to you we, collectively, had a momentous year. The accomplishments that we were able to make together says a lot about the resiliency of IAPD member companies, the dedication of IAPD volunteers and performance of the industry.

IAPD members have never been more engaged in the association than now. In fact, more than 130+ individuals from IAPD member companies volunteer their time to serve on IAPD’s Board of Directors, committees, common interest groups (CIGs), councils and task forces.

Together, along with staff, they create:

  • Association and industry strategy
  • Technical content
  • Distribution, fabrication and manufacturing best practices
  • Guidelines to comply with regulations
  • In person and virtual educational events
  • Online courses and certificate programs
  • Industry marketing
