Interstate Advanced Materials has expanded its selection of sustainable materials to provide more environmentally responsible alternatives to traditional building materials. New material offerings from the company include the RenovoTM line of materials, ACRETM sheets and High Density Urethane (HDU) Precision Board.

The Renovo line, available exclusively from Interstate Advanced Materials, includes recyclable and sustainable plastics made from post-consumer and post-industrial material. Renovo-MPCTM is a more sustainable alternative to general-purpose polycarbonate, retaining the same material properties including optical clarity, low haze and high light transmission. Renovo-HIPSTM is an alternative to standard high impact polystyrene (HIPS) made with 25% post-consumer recycled material while maintaining the same properties, thermoformability and adhesion of ink and paint.

ACRETM is a new eco-friendly alternative to wood or composite materials made from 100% upcycled rice husk fibers. ACRE sheet has the same look and feel as wood, but offers resistance to pests and fungi, will not rot, fade, crack, splinter or otherwise deform. The material is thermoformable and can be worked with standard woodworking tools and used in many of the same applications as wood or composite lumber.

HDU Precision Board is a urethane foam board made from non-toxic, eco-friendly urethane containing no VOC’s or carcinogens. The material can withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 200°F/93.3°C and features a closed cell structure resulting in less dust and more chips when machined, allowing for cleaner work and a safer work environment. HDU Precision Board will not absorb moisture, crack, rot or peel when exposed to the elements, making It a common alternative for outdoor wooden signage. www.interstateam.com

Asahi/America, Inc. introduced the new J-Switch® manual limit switch, compatible with Asahi/America’s Type-21/21a ball valves and Type-23 MultiportTM ball valves. The new limit switch is a low-cost manual valve position indication solution.

Available in 1/2, 3/4 – 1 inch, and 1-1/2 – 2 inch sizes, the J-Switch® features a compact profile, direct mount, glass-filled polypropylene enclosure that requires no tools for simple field installation. The J-Switch® also features 0 – 180 AC/DC multi-voltage capabilities, a corrosion-resistant, NEMA 4X enclosure, and a cable gland with two-meter flying leads. It operates at up to 150°F/65.6°C.

FABCO Plastics Wholesale Limited introduces NAPSYSTM-LR (Low-Rise) PVC/DWV and NPSYSTM-HR (High-Rise) PVC/DWV piping for plumbing solutions in low-rise and high-rise building.

NAPSYSTM-LR is available in 1 ½, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 inches with a length of 12 feet at the plain end and 20 feet at the bell end.
